KTM 640 Adventure (2003)
It's rude, crude and unrefined, vibrates like half a girls battery operated boyfriend, and it is fun to ride!

KTM 1190 Adventure R (2015) Updated
It took a little tweaking with the ergonomics and a few other things above and beyond the usual mods to make this bike long distance worthy. But now that it is, I am absolutely in love with it. Practically unlimited yet very manageable power. The suspension and traction control makes this bike surefooted both on and off road, regardless of weather conditions. Lastly, the boner inspiring qualities of this bike go without saying. Between the sound, the power and the looks, it's a damn shame the 20-50 year old single female population doesn't seem to share the same interest and excitement in this bike as their male counterparts apparently do... Just sayin ;)- 3

KTM 950 Adventure (2003) Updated
It's my mule, doesn't do any one thing great but it doesn't do anything bad. All it does is make me smile trip after trip, mile after mile. I like it enough I bought an 06 950 S to go with it.- 2

Kawasaki Versys 650 (2008)
It is my first bike and A bike I will never part with for many reasons. Absolutely fantastic on the road even if a little choppy behind the small windshield. The sporty feel paired with a relatively upright seating position make for a bike that can be ridden with bravado from dusk till dawn and it has been. Marketed as being a versatile system Kawasaki said it would venture down those tempting gravel trails and that it did many times with great success. The tiny 17" front wheel can sap confidence in deep gravel but if anything as a new rider this thought me a lot about the workings of a motorcycle in such a situation. However the line is drawn there. Its a little delicate for single track or technical riding and the tall but road oriented suspension left me fearing for the the bike at times to the point that it shook a fan brush out of line on one ride and left me nursing the bike home without a working fan. A great bike, I really can't stress that enough but if your wanting to be aggressive off road it may not be the unit for you.- 1

BMW F650 GS Dakar (2001)
Made for adventure and offroading, in my opinion a decent bike for a decent price. The suspension is too slack for onroadriding, plus it could use some more power for onroad. But this is the Dakar version, you need to take this baby into the dirt. Exhaust is too heavy for the back, so get yourself a slip-on on it and brwaaaaap away !- 2

BMW F650 GS Dakar (2003)
My trusty daily commuter and weekend warrior. Wimpy oem exhaust, dump it and get a true thumper can. Virtually bullet proof if you keep up with the maintenance. New handlebars area a must if you plan on hitting the dirt. Tried and tested model. So many farkles to choose from.- 3

Triumph Tiger 900 (1999)
So far I love this bike, I have plans on some, like engine gaurds, off road tires as well as some little mods. I'm finding the mods department a little light for this year and make. It's all nothing I can handle though.- 0

BMW R1200 GS LC (2013)
As the first large Dual-Sport I've ever owned I'd have a hard time rating this bike. It serves me well and has always brought me home safely.- 7

BMW F700 GS (2014)
Excellent bike for urban riding, camping, and the occasional muddy trail. My only gripe, wish it had the same power as the 800GS. that 10hp difference would be nice to have.- 4

BMW F800 GS Adventure (2014) Updated
I had a '13 GSA 1200. It was too big for me.
"Pick a standard 1200, no?"
No, because I love the rugged bulkyness of the Adventure models.
So...here's the new toy! A 2013 F800GSA, "sand beige" color, with only 16k KMs, and full optional: Full aluminium panniers set with BMW internal bags for the side panniers, heated grips, ESA, ABS/ASC, on-board computer, 2 riding modes (Road/Enduro), LED foglights, LED blinkers, and maybe even something else.
Plus, the previous owner installed a couple toys that I would've installed anyway: crash bars for the "tank" (by GIVI), a bigger skidplate (GIVI again), and the expanded sidestand base (no idea who made it).
After a full day of riding, I can say I'm VERY satisfied. Fuel consumption is ridicolously low, the bike's very comfortable (solo and with pillion), and most importantly, it's FIFTY KILOGRAMS lighter than both my previous GSA1200 and my ex-SuperTenere.
I've only found 3 things I don't like on this bike:
1- Sound. Easily fixable with a proper exhaust.
2- Handguards. They leave half my hand exposed to air/cold.
3- Windscreen. It's big, but it leaves my head exposed.
Again, I can easily fix all these "problems".
Can't wait to ride more! :)- 4

Honda XL600V Transalp (1989)
Bought it new in '89, I doubt I will ever sell it. One of the smoothest and quietest v-twin motors I've ever ridden. For me it needs more fuel capacity and fit a tall person better, a bit cramped.

BMW R1200 GS Adventure (2008)
Bought used in 2010 and haven't regretted it for a minute. Took it on White Rim Trail (not sure what I was thinking) as my first off road experience since being a kid. This is my go-to, long mileage bike. Aftermarket Corbin allows me to easily do 700-900 mile days.- 4

I plan to put in a proper review...- 0
