  1. Well folks I just found out over at Tiger800.uk that BB has lost their OE Triumph parts franchise. This sucks as I ordered half a new XCx from them over the past year and a half or so. Dealer's is a bother and hang-out for rejects from Moto-Corsa and I can't order online late at night. Looks like the hunt is on for a new OE online supplier that doesn't require the ever-popular VIN. I'm stinking tired of Triumph continually asking for it in a thinly-disguised data mining operation. As I've said before: Love the bike, hate the company at times. This makes a double whammy as Cal-Moto just lost their franchise over T's demands on their retail side, so everything is on clearance sale and no more sales or warranty work. Way to go, Triumph. As for the Cal Moto flap it looks like they were trying to do the usual: Make them install about a hundred and fourty grands' worth of brand image frivolity which doesn't equate sales necessarily, but does reflect what corporate tells them. I wonder how Latus Motors gets away with it....Triumph looks like an ugly step child at their Dealership full of knuckle-drag.....T's only signage is a vinyl sign lashed to a chain link off the freeway. If it wasn't for Cycletrader I'd never have known it was a Triumph dealership under all that Harley stuff but there it is.

  3. Hello. I live in northern Phoenix, Arizona. I am new to ADV riding, but used to ride dirt bikes when I was a teen and have been riding bikes on-road since 2007. My main interest in bikes is vintage choppers, however, I have always loved all things off-road. My previous bikes were; 1971 Triumph Trophy 1959 Harley Sportster 1975 Harley FLH 2008 Harley Nightster Current bikes are; 1957 Triumph Tiger (chopper project bike) 2008 Triumph Bonneville 2014 Triumph Tiger 800XC The 800XC I purchased in October 2016 after having made my 2008 Bonneville in to a mild dual-sport inspired bike and suffering on the long highway jaunts on a 700 mile ride with a coworker with a R1200GSA. The idea of having an off-road capable bike that could do long-hauls on the highway above 70mph really appealed to me and I love the look of the Tigers.

  5. This is the story of my new Big Grey Pig... Once I had a BRP, Xr650r, and I was the happiest dude arround. It got old and had to sell it, I got sad and fat. Once I heard the CRF1000 would arrive I got happy again. So that is the main idea... I love: -The sound that really makes me feel the Braaap... -The feeling of a lighter bike - It's fast in the dirt - The dakarian style I'm not very happy with: -Tyres for tarmac on a dual sport?? Changed to Heidenau, worst tyres for rain I've used in my life. -Tons of accesories, but poorly equiped vs the other ones in the range. -Very few in Méx for now, 26 total, so there is like 4 accesories for It. Everything must be imported -Would be nice to have a larger 6th for highway speeds. -It is not as light as you would think, specialy between city traffic. Cheers from México....
