Product Details

I was in the market for some back protection and a hydration pack.  While searching I found the Leatt GPX 3.0 Cargo Backpack which is a 3.0L/100ounce hydration pack that incorporates back protection also.  It seemed to fit my needs so I ordered one.

Product Overview

The Leatt GPX 3.0 Cargo Backpack has 7 liters of storage space, a 3 liter flat CleanTech bladder in an insulated compartment and incorporates removable CE EN 1621-2 Level 2 back protection also.  It has an easily adjustable fitment system that  fit's small to extra large riders.  The backpack has waterproof storage for tools and other areas for many other items.  The hydration tube can be run along the left or right side depending on your needs.  There is a small pouch waterproof included to hold a cellphone that has a viewing window which allows the phone to be used without removing it.  On the front chest enclosure there are pockets for storing small items for easy access.

Adjusting fit was quite simple.  The hydration pack is easily filled with water and ice.  I did a great job of keeping it's contents cold for hours.  The front chest enclosure is almost like a vest and does a nice job of securely holding the backpack in place and supporting the load.   The back protection is well ventilated and quite comfortable.  It actually supported my back well enough that I could ride for a much longer time with less fatigue.  The pack fits a wide variety of gear, rain gear and extra gloves along with a few other miscellaneous items fit with room to spare.

Pro's  👍

  • Comfortable
  • Water stays cold for a long time, even without ice
  • Extra support provided for my back increased my riding time and enjoyment level
  • Well designed with many features

Con's

  • Could be slightly larger to fit someone of my stature.

Bottom line

I'm quite happy with this multipurpose pack and would recommend it to other riders.
