For road days, I was basically done at 200 miles due to the pain and monkey butt. I met Rick Mayer at the 2013 MOA Rally in Salem, OR and later sent him my seat (if you make an appointment, he'll do your seat for you at the rally, but that's booked weeks in advance). I don't care about leather, and I wanted something that I could slide around on anyway for off-road work, so vinyl was the right (and thankfully cheaper) answer. Very happy with my Rick Mayer solo vinyl seat for the balance of cost and durability. Works great for road days and survives well with a coating of dirt and dust. Price was much better at the rally.
