Good and solid product.

Only criticism: the scale is only in psi, I would have preferred to have it marked in bar as well.

I've been using this pump now for just over a year and am very pleased.  I think this is my third pump in about six years.  My first one broke and I gave the second one to another rider.

The mini pro standard is probably one of the best pumps out there.  You can go smaller with their Air Shot model but this is kind of a standard model.

What I like most:

  • VERY strong motor that will not only inflate your tire quickly but will do so without overheating like other models.  This means you can inflate more than one tire without pause.
  • Comes with a built in light, gauge and a self coiling air hose that has a very handy screw on chuck I prefer to the hold and clip style.
  • Does not need a special direct-to-battery connection; at least on my KTM 990.  It plugs right into my SAE connector but will also work via the cigarette plug.
  • Peace of mind.  I had a $20 pump that worked fine for two years but I could never be sure if it was going to crap out at any moment.
  • 5 year warranty

This pump is also co-marketed as DynaPlug's pump and comes with a yellow sticker.  But MotoPumps was one of the first manufacturers to the game and have had a lot of other companies essentially copy their design.

Sure, the motor is made in China but so is everyone else's motor.  What's key is the spec to which it's built and it's the best available.  A few other pumps use this same motor but I'm not sure which ones.

See how this pump stacked up in our comparison article on compressors.
