The highest level of protection!

For the more dirt-intensive riding I like to do, I prefer (especially in warmer weather) the maximum protection of this body armor from Leatt.  I used to have something similar in the form of Fox Titan ($149) but that was ill-fitting and left too many spots exposed.  Think about what you're currently wearing... and ask if it offers you chest protection, flank protection, brace compatible?

When it's cooler I will usually wear a jacket (KLiM) but then I still don't have the chest of flank protection offered by a vest like this.  This system is really great for warmer temps with just a jersey or nothing over it.

What I like best about this is what I'd call "comfortable protection" or a combination of comfort (fit, material, cooling) and coverage.  Cooling comes from the ventilation as well as the MoistureCool fabric.  The armor is also CE certified.

At first glance I thought this 5.5 Body Armor would be too heavy or uncomfortable but once it's on I can hardly tell I'm wearing anything at all because it's just so darn comfortable.  The fabric is very soft and contributes quite a bit to cooling and ventilation.  I wore this for the BAJA RALLY™ and never had a single issue with it.  Luckily I only had one or two minor tip overs and didn't have to test the armor... well okay once I fell on my right elbow and the armor probably saved me a busted arm.

It also integrates VERY well with my Leatt neck brace in both the front and back.  My old single blade brace works well both back and front but my newer brace is just the front tabs and the two rear rest on top.

Bottom line is that I'd recommend this level of protection for the rider who prefers dirt, considers themselves more "adventure enduro" and perhaps takes part in off road racing or just a more aggressive level of riding and needs that higher level of protection and comfort.
