I got mine from TacoMoto and would recommend you check them out first as Mike's a great guy and I like to support small business. I've used SPOT products before with no issues but am glad I have a device now that appears to be not just a better value but also has a bit better satellite network and global coverage of the Iridium network. The device itself is light (5.3oz) and compact and fits inside my jacket pocket. The battery is rechargeable and lasts for 200 hours. The phone app is very well laid out and easy to use. I can send satellite messages of up to 160 characters in length (longer via the app and when having cellular and/or wifi connection).
