WOODCLIFF LAKE, NJ – February 13, 2017 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – BMW Motorrad USA has announced pricing and equipment updates for select 2017 models, including the next two Heritage motorcycles arriving at BMW Motorrad dealerships nationwide. 2017 BMW R 1200 GS Model Update / GS Adventure Price Change In conjunction with the product enhancements coming with the model update, the R 1200 GS base price increases by $200 (from $16,495 to $16,695 MSRP). The MSRP of the R 1200 GS Adventure, will increase by $200 as well (from $18,695 to $18,895 MSRP). 2017 BMW R 1200 GS Model Updates In showrooms March 2017. Standard Features Updated design/front panels New/Enhanced Packages Keyless Ride has been added to the Touring Package, which is also included in the Premium Package. Both packages increase by $250, with the price of the Touring Package increasing from $1,445 to $1,695 MSRP and the Premium Package increasing from $2,950 to $3,200 MSRP. Dynamic Traction Control, Hill Start Control, and Dynamic Pro Mode (a configurable ‘user’ mode) have been added to Ride Modes Pro, which is included in The Technology Package and The Premium Package. There are no package price increases associated with these enhancements. Style 1 (Rally) package ($600 MSRP) is now available with new color Lupin Blue Metallic. This off-road oriented package comes with a Cordoba Blue frame, gold calipers, Cross Spoke Wheels, Black Powertrain, Sport Windshield, bi- color rally seat and removes the center stand. To keep the center stand, standard windshield, and standard seat (for more passenger comfort) there is a passenger kit available. (Exclusive) package ($350 MSRP) is now available with new color Espresso Metallic. This package comes with an Achat Grey frame, gold calipers, and Black Powertrain. New/Enhanced Factory Options High Comfort Seat ($50 MSRP) Dynamic Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA) ($950 MSRP) has been enhanced with the latest generation technology including an automatic ride-height adjustment and automatic damper settings. The price remains the same. Extra High Rally Seat ($50 MSRP). Only available with Style 1 (Rally) package and only if Passenger Kit is not ordered. Dynamic Traction Control, Hill Start Control, and Dynamic Pro Mode (a configurable ‘user’ mode) have been added to Ride Modes Pro. As a result, the price has increased $50, from $400 to $450 MSRP. Passenger Kit ($225 MSRP). Adds center stand, standard windshield, and standard seat (for more passenger comfort) when Style 1 (Rally) package is ordered. Sport Suspension ($300 MSRP). Only available with Style 1 (Rally) package and Dynamic ESA. Not available with Low Suspension.   3. MUNCH, GERMANY - April 18, 2015 - (Motor Sports Newswire) - In the first three months of the year, BMW Motorrad achieved its best quarterly sales figures of all time. As per March sales increased to 31,370 vehicles (previous year: 28,719 units). This is an increase in sales of 9.2 % as compared to the equivalent period last year. In March BMW Motorrad delivered 15,912 motorcycles and Maxi Scooters worldwide (previous year: 15,183 units amounting to a 4.8% growth in sales. Heiner Faust, BMW Motorrad Head of Sales and Marketing: "BMW Motorrad has started into the new 2015 motorcycle season with the best first quarterly sales of all time. For the first time ever in the history of BMW Motorrad we have supplied more than 31,000 vehicles to our customers in the first three months which corresponds to a significant plus of 9.2%. We are reaching more and more customers all over the world with our highly emotional brand and our attractive, sporty bikes. In the first three months we recorded growth in nearly all sales regions. Germany still remains our strongest single market. Selling 5,369 vehicles as per March we increased sales here by 12% as compared to the previous year.” This is followed by the USA (3,229 units), France (3,155 units), Italy (2,936 units) and Great Britain (1,746 units). The first quarter in some of the countries in Southern Europe was especially pleasing. Portugal (+46%) and Spain (+24%) showed considerable growth compared to the previous year period. In the Asian markets too, demand developed very positively. The BMW Motorrad sales ranking is still headed by the R 1200 GS travel enduro and its sister model, the R 1200 GS Adventure. More than 10,000 units have already been delivered to customers this year worldwide. Third place goes to the R 1200 RT, of which 2,681 were sold. After only being on sale for a few weeks the new S 1000 RR already holds fourth place. The fourth generation of the BMW supersports bike got off to an excellent start selling 2,574 units. "We continue to remain on a course of growth and are aiming at surpassing the record results achieved in 2014 again", says Heiner Faust.

    I love my BMW GS Adv. 'Nuff said. Best fun on two wheels since I had a sport bike. If anything my first thought when I bought it, as I rode away from the dealer, was "So THIS is what I'm missing out on."... Life is just different. And now my ZX10r sits in the garage, a proper race queen, having served me reliably for 27,000 miles... My GSA is not only my daily commute but my escape as well.

    This brake lever is wider than the standard lever and is height adjustable.     These robust, 2-part crash bars are made of electropolished special steel. Effectively protects cylinders and heads from damage in minor tip overs. Enduro style matches the look of the R1200GS. Weight: approx. 9 lbs. Note: Does NOT fit 2005-13 (air/oil-cooled) R1200GS.
