I got a pair of these boots about 2 and a half years ago and I was very impressed with all the technology that went into them but after speaking with the AS guy at OExWest two weeks ago apparently there's quite a bit new news to share: New version is about a pound lighter (in size 10) than the old version More flexible Better foot protection "dynamic heel compression protector" in sole free natural movements with controlled hyper-flexion New buckle system that is lighter, stronger and more compact Soft side inserts for better grip of the bike between your legs And still $599 although you can typically find them on sale from time to time at various retailers. I got this color but wish I'd had white for rally racing (black is hotter)
