Administrators Eric Hall Posted April 6, 2017 Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted April 6, 2017 Whenever I get some helmet time riding out to some distant event or ride I always gaze off to the side of the highway and inevitably up in the foothills somewhere there's some kind of "facility" built there for some unknown reason. Sometimes there's a spring there and you can see trees. I often wonder what it would be like to have a job working there and wish someday I could have a job like that where it was up to me to simply keep the machines going and dials in the right position. If only to escape my annoying neighbors of course. I'd keep the plants watered and spend evenings gazing out over the valley. I came across these photos some guys took of a tour they got of MWD's pump stations out off I-10 in the desert near Desert Center. It's an aqueduct that brings water from the Colorado River to LA. pics pics
