XLADV Races BAJA RALLY

Recommended Posts

Small details left, plus some bike break in to go.

Got all the gear on at once today, may get some new goggles but that's about it.

31 lbs of gear before adding 100oz of water and tool roll to back back. Not as heavy as my 1 piece race suit, but gonna be taxing in 100+ degree weather.

Garne SG-12 boots
Mobius knee braces
Fly F16 pants and Jersey
Leatt GPX neck brace

Great dirt ride this morning. 90 miles between Adelanto and Kramer Junction with some exploring mixed in. Played for about 3 hours and went from 78F to 100F as I loaded up. Too bad I reset my GPS trip after the first 20 or 30 miles(operator error).

#projectmediumXLADV ran great, few tweaks but feeling optimistic about a 540 mile race in 2 weeks.

Heading up to Big Bear with a buddy tomorrow b40b29f621db375c5da707a83cd1f5f9.jpg2920745942fa6392da2541ba9cd7bbd2.jpg207abec2e57324e4c9068c4d49617d23.jpg70d3bd4ab1398929fba970375a8a1a69.jpg577c62dfd7e40c8180c7a104f51ce8ce.jpg

Motoz sent me one of their Tractionator Desert H/T rear tires which I've never tried before. I have run the front one and loved it. It not the rear. This tire will last me all five days for the Baja Rally as I saw it perform similarly last year for two other big bike riders.

I think I need my head examined.  I seem to have this thing about losing stuff.  I lost the key to my 990 last November.  I also lost (my kids I think) my pool key.

Now it seems I've lost my Emig Racing triple clamps and damper!  They were in a flat box like the kind a case of beer comes in on the floor next to my dining room table.  But that's also near where I put my recycling so my fear is one of my kids took the "recycling" out and accidentally threw them away.  I asked them both and neither recalls seeing them at all but I just can't seem to find them.  My place isn't that big either.  I hadn't taken them to the garage nor even put them in the car.  So I've been tearing the place apart trying to find them.  FML
