Hey everyone! Buenas Tardes from the east coast. The team has made it to Honduras, the border crossing process was smooth taking only took an 1hr 1/2 and everyone was very helpful. They have been in constant contact with the BMW riding club there and immediately got a location where clean water was needed. Tom and Dennis went straight to a children's shelter to install filters to the untreated running city water. 54 children in total are now able to drink clean water! But keep in mind the filters last 5-7 years which will be able to supply even more children as they come into the shelter. Here is a cool picture of them with the group! Hope everyone is riding safe and enjoying the day.

Good Morning everyone, I hope that everyone had a safe weekend riding! A quick update on the team, they are pulling up to the border of Nicaragua now. Once they make it into the country, they will be continuing clean water projects throughout the area. Soon after they will be heading towards Costa Rica eventually making their way down to Panama where they will sail across the Darien Gap to Colombia to continue the journey! Also a big thank you to @XLADV and everyone participating in the High Sierra Rally, it is through our combined efforts whether in the field or at home that we can make a difference in other people's lives. Clean water is a huge issue all around the world but can be tackled with such a simple solution. Thank you all!

Hey everyone, 4 more days until the weekend and some of you lucky souls get to enjoy the High Sierra Rally! The Motorrad Angels team spent the night in Nicaragua and have carried onward making it to Costa Rica this morning. It was calm going through and had beautiful weather! They were informed a protest was taking place somewhere throughout but they have become relatively peaceful at this point. In other news, we have been continuing to work on the establishment of our UK chapter. We have made some solid progress with riders who are becoming very involved. Soon they will be recruiting others to join and will organize events to raise awareness about issues with clean water. Like the United States, the United Kingdom doesn't really have a huge problem with clean water. Both of our infrastructures have it built in to where clean water is easily accessible just about everywhere. I drank tap water last night! But having international chapters everywhere whether they have clean water or not creates awareness of the problem. I wanted to share a clearer image of one of our bucket systems to show how simple the installment is and what a impact it can make. Remember 1 filter supplies 100 people with clean water for 5-7 years!

Whats happenin everyone! Some pretty interesting stuff happened yesterday. So as I mentioned before Nicaragua has been experiencing some political corruption and has resulted in many riots and protests. It has since calmed down for the most part, mainly peaceful protests. The team quickly made it through and got into Costa Rica yesterday, the border crossing process was smooth BUT they got held back by a peaceful protest Costa Rican fisherman were having! They hung out with everyone for about 4 hours before finding a place to stay. Now are in San Jose this morning enjoying the culture and scenery.

Good afternoon fellow riders! The Motorrad Angels team is in San Jose, Costa Rica and they are preparing to head back to the US today. Dennis Godwin will be headed back to attend the High Sierra Rally and Tom Palmer to Colombia for BMW Motorrad Days Colombia! This trip has been another success, we were able to help a lot of people along the way. In other exciting news.. I am currently talking with like minded organizations about partnering/sponsorship, it is still early and nothing crazy has happened yet but still cool nonetheless! Its amazing talking with people who have the same goal in mind--helping others. And it doesn't matter whether your riding a motorcycle or flying a helicopter, as long as the job gets done! I will definitely keep you all updated. Enjoy the weather (if its nice out ?).

The weekend is almost here and some good riding is just around the corner! An update on the team, they have made it back safely into the US. They were able to store their bikes in Costa Rica with Elephant Moto, so you know they are good hands. After attending some rallies they will fly back into Costa Rica and continue onward. Today I really just wanted to put into words our gratitude for @XLADV and everyone here in the community. Everyone at Motorrad Angels is extremely gratitude for all the things XLADV does for our organization. The High Sierra Rally, Mohave National Preserve, and more to come produces incredible benefits to individuals. Not only does it help so many people around the world gain access to clean drinking water and raise awareness of our cause. But it gathers like-minded folk to have and enjoy an experience that doesn't happen everyday. Being able to do what you love but help people in the process is everything Motorrad Angels embodies. Its shows that you can live in California, ride motorcycles, and still help someone across the world. So thank you @XLADV for being a Motorrad Angel.  Here is a pic of the one and only @Eric Hall back in Puerto Rico aiding relief to Hurricane Maria victims.

Good afternoon everyone! First thank you to all who participated in the High Sierra Rally, looks like everyone had a blast! I will be sending the tshirts to the winners tomorrow, so be on the lookout for some mail. Second the Motorrad Angels team is currently in Colombia for water projects as well as BMW Motorrad Days Colombia for fundraising. They will return to Costa Rica to grab their bikes, hit the road and head toward Panama conducting clean water installations along the way eventually making it to the Darien Gap. From there they will sail across to Colombia and continue the journey. Also I don't know if I mentioned this before but we now have a pledging system on our website! For as low as $5.00 a month, you can purchase 2 filters a year giving 200 people clean water for 5-7 years! Visit the link below to start a pledge! Oh and here is a pic from the weekend (I was trying to be at the High Sierra Rally in spirit ?

Sorry about the pic. Tapatalk is having issues with iPhone pics’ heic format. I was told to change the camera settings to save as jpeg but wasn’t able to find that. I will fix later.

So we are here to do a few water projects and attend BMW Motorrad Days, which starts tomorrow I think. That sounds like fun and I see my friend Chris White who runs tours in Costa Rica will be there.

I’m riding a GSA provided by Sergio of Endurolandia which does tours and has a practice facility. He calls it like a “Disneyland of adventure bikes.” We will get to see it at the end of the trip.

There are three couples here and Jose Pinto so the GSA is especially good for two up travel.

Bit of dirt today. Looking forward to it. Amazing food here! I promise to post some food porn.

Some IG pics I know will work here...

Hey Everyone! As you can can see the team is having some good times in Colombia. I have to give them a warning though... BMW Motorrad Days Colombia starts today and Colombians are known to have a good time, according to WHO this is super contagious ?. I don't have any awesome pics to share just yet, I am waiting for them to roll in once they get some down time from riding. Aside from the current trip, we have some really cool fundraising opportunities being planned in the near future. I have been speaking with ChildFund which is another great organization that helps impoverished youth, a lot of the work we do revolves around children. By implementing clean water filtration systems, we are not only creating sustainability within the community but it also invests in the well being of the children. When kids are no longer getting sick because of contaminated drinking water, they are able to go to school, get an education and hopefully preserve into having a successful adulthood. We are hoping creating a relationship with ChildFund will present some awesome opportunities in the future!

Here is a pic of where the team is currently at! You can also follow them in real time, just visit the link! https://www.motorradangels.org/real-time-location/

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend and got past the Monday blues.. ? The team is still having a great time in Colombia with lots of riding. They are at Crater Del Volcan Nevado Del Ruiz which looks gorgeous, I would share a picture but I'll let all you curious folk get out there and go see it firsthand! Aside from exploring Colombia and seeing beautiful sites, we have also been able to do some water projects. Along with some simple bucket systems they were also able to install a massive clean water reserve in Moudin, Colombia. Its seems they ran into a little rain forcing them to put on their trusty BMW rain suit aka Banana Suit ???. All is well today with the team as they continue in Colombia!

Good Afternoon fellow riders! Just wanted to give a little update on the team. They are are on their last leg of Tour Colombia and plan on flying back Saturday/Sunday. It has been super successful and they have been able to help many people along the way! We are in the process of teaming up with others to offer more tours like this in the future. The tours that we are involved with are similar to many but we add one very important component to the aspect of adventure, that is to simply help someone along the way. People are able to enjoy adventure riding in a new place yet take just a moment of help someone or a community in need. The gratitude and fulfillment one receives is beyond words. Be on the lookout for what comes next! Oh and for those living on the East Coast, particularly the Carolinas, Georgia, and others that may be affected by Hurricane Florence please be safe this weekend and keep the Motorrad Angels updated!

** Hurricane Flo appears to becoming weaker but nonetheless always prepare in the event it decides to change drastically. **
