Administrators Eric Hall Posted October 5, 2017 Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted October 5, 2017 I got wind of a new 60/40 knobby adventure tire being developed by Dunlop. I was told it will actually be manufactured in the US and they're going to try to shoot for the 6,000 mile range of tread life. I get about 5500 from the Motoz Tractionator Adventure. I was told the reason the D908's are so expensive is because they're made in France.

If not, you should! So turns out I may be! I saw them at AIMExpo and checked in. They said things are moving along well with testing and it looks like XLADV may have a role to play here very soon. What I've heard is basically consistent with what I heard last year about the tire but they are tight-lipped. All I know is adv tire, knobby of some kind, higher end of the tread life vs what else is out there. I'll know more soon.
Administrators Eric Hall Posted August 20, 2019 Author Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted August 20, 2019 An update on this new tire. I actually saw it back in December but I still can't share anything new about it, even its name. But there is a launch date of Oct 9! I get to attend the launch here in SoCal. One of our members got to test them out on his GS in Baja and he reports to like them quite a bit.
