I've been told it has to be an accident/impact event, not a manufacturing failure or they will not cover it. Thx, Dan Clicked the box that said "Pot Hole". It was the truth. I hit that damn giant pot hole at the Mohave ride that was right next to the cattle guard. Probably doing 50mph.

Just a select box on what happened. If its not listed there, then I guess you need to call them and talk to someone.

Now the important question of what's next??? 790R, Tenere 700, another big KTM or??? Im going to explore the 690, 701 and 790. Who knows when I will see a Tenere 700 so its not on my list. Funny thing, I found a 2016 KTM 1190 Adv R new at a dealer in El Cajon. Least its on their website.

Yellow Pig
Thing is you do not want an 1190. It has to be a 1090 or 1290 because of the PDS Shock. The 1190 is NOT PDS and the Tractive Shock might be a culprit also. 1

Done a few 200 mile days on it with no mechanical issues, but kinda hard on the bum

Yellow Pig
I love my 710 offroad and am sure it's a better dirtbike than the 790.

Yellow Pig
The Touratech Shock is a rebranded Tractive shock. There are some well known issues with it. In fact Konflict no longer carries the line and does not recommend using it anymore. I had the Tractive/Touratech shock too and while super plush in the first 3/4 of the stroke I felt it let go in the last inch of travel and bottomed out hard instead of getting stiffer as a true PDS shock should.

RogersW Posted September 7, 2019 My Rides (2) Report Share Posted September 7, 2019 Looks like I’m now in the broken frame boat, well maybe partially. Found a crack at my steering head. Let’s see what progressive says. 1
Yellow Pig
Bummer, any big hits or crashes? Looks like you had a bit too much fun at the High Sierras Rally. Have you tried running it by KTM? Best of luck. Edited September 7, 2019 by Yellow Pig

RogersW Posted September 8, 2019 My Rides (2) Report Share Posted September 8, 2019 I’m going to my insurance company rather than KTM. I hate dealing with their customer service, and I’m also way out of warranty. Sadly the motorcycle only has 8000 miles, but I've really trashed this thing. I need a 790.

Jason R Posted September 12, 2019 My Ride Report Share Posted September 12, 2019 After the 790 is bought, lets start a pool for $10 on how many miles the 790 lasts. ?
