Administrators Eric Hall Posted May 20, 2019 Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted May 20, 2019 Testing this out now... It’s a small tracking device you can use to not only keep track of your stuff but with the ability to detect motion or even preset temperature levels (alert to freezing or heat). This is a prototype and not fully kitted out yet with all the bells and whistles but worked great as a tracker from an app you install on your phone. You can put it on your bike, your bags, panniers, whatever. "Protect all your things and spaces with the world's smallest on the go security system. Equipped with GPS, Bluetooth 5.1, motion lights, alarm siren and a rechargeable battery that holds up to 3 months on a single charge."
GiggleBritches
Looks like a good idea, but a red box with a PIR sensor sticking out would scream "throw me away." Looks like a neat decide if they clean up the packaging.
Administrators Eric Hall Posted May 20, 2019 Author Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted May 20, 2019 @GiggleBritches I was thinking similarly. My Spot Trace device is just black and blends into the various parts of the bike and I also buried it under some stuff so it's not visible. Red and white says "this is something you need to remove as soon as you take it." Although now that I think about it, I'd probably put this inside my tank back or panniers for that reason.
WADE-O Potato
I think this would be really awesome for panniers. Thinking of the SoCal BDR documentary where on two occasions guys lost panniers hahaha.
