Administrators Eric Hall Posted June 10, 2019 Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted June 10, 2019 Llel Pavey just sent this over... his review of the T700! (click for entire review). "Fun, light, simple workhorse"
Administrators Eric Hall Posted June 10, 2019 Author Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted June 10, 2019 Two questions for Llel were: Does the T 700 have an off road ABS mode where it keeps abs up front but disables it in the rear? Nope What aftermarket mods would he prioritize for this bike? He says: tall seat, crash bars and bark busters (hand guards) and heated grips. he says stock sump guard is fine. My feeling is if the suspension works then you don't need such a bullet-proof guard.

Jason R Posted June 10, 2019 My Ride Report Share Posted June 10, 2019 It looks like the front fender height can be adjusted a little. He makes sound likes the bike is just meh. Seems to get good wheel loft without much effort though. Comes in at about $11k US. So its just a bit more than a CRF450L. It seems like a bike alot of us would like to have. No more going through endless menus every ride to turn off TC, ABS, Off Road mode, etc. Push a button, ABS off, and now we have a 700cc semi dirt bike. https://www.yamahamotorsports.com/adventure-touring/models/tenere-700 SPECIFICATIONS: Engine Type 689cc liquid-cooled DOHC 4-stroke; 8 valves Bore x Stroke 80.0mm x 68.6mm Compression Ratio 11.5:1 Fuel Delivery Fuel Injection Transmission 6-speed; wet multiplate clutch Final Drive Chain Suspension / Front 43mm inverted fork, fully-adjustable; 8.3-in travel Suspension / Rear Single shock, adjustable preload (w/remote adjuster) and rebound damping; 7.9-in travel Brakes / Front Dual 282mm hydraulic disc; selectable ABS Brakes / Rear 245mm hydraulic disc; selectable ABS Tires / Front 90/90R21 Pirelli® Scorpion® Rally STR Tires / Rear 150/70R18 Pirelli® Scorpion® Rally STR L x W x H TBD Seat Height 34.6 in Wheelbase 62.6 in Rake (Caster Angle) TBD Trail TBD Maximum Ground Clearance 9.5 in Fuel Capacity 4.2 gal Fuel Economy** TBD Wet Weight*** TBD Warranty 1 Year (Limited Factory Warranty) Color Ceramic Ice

You've never had a rock get kicked up from your front tire into your skidplate?

Of course I have but never a rock a stock plate couldn’t handle. My hardest hits are from bottoming out, not rocks flying up.
