Administrators Bryan Bosch Posted June 10, 2015 Administrators My Ride Report Share Posted June 10, 2015 Who knows if this will go anywhere, but what's 30 seconds of your time to sign? https://www.change.org/p/richard-scott-marco-rubio-legalize-lane-splitting-for-motorcycles-in-the-state-of-florida
Jason R Posted June 11, 2015 My Ride Report Share Posted June 11, 2015 I would need to take my fat ass bags off to ride in that traffic shown in the video.

Administrators Bryan Bosch Posted June 11, 2015 Author Administrators My Ride Report Share Posted June 11, 2015 Yeah, splitting is not for everyone. I did it on a supermoto when I lived in S. Cal and loved it, but mostly at stop lights and very slow rush hour freeway traffic. Even at lights, every once in a while, some jackwagon would get ticked I was getting ahead and start to crowd the center line. But, 30+ years of riding tight woods helped a lot with feeling comfy in sometimes tight quarters. But, can't escape the fact that bikes lose every time when going head to head with a car. Some riders forget that.
Jason R Posted June 11, 2015 My Ride Report Share Posted June 11, 2015 Good thinkin'! https://youtu.be/slMhgcwSqeM?t=20s His bags was the end of his splitting, but it was his mistake of mis-judging speed and was unable to control his stop. His bags don't stick out beyond the handlebars. I think mine are a good two inches wider than my bars.

Some riders forget that. In Okinawa, I had a dump truck force me into the curb. I knew I would loose that one, lucky I got stopped and stood up on the sidewalk holding my bike while the truck kept moving.
Administrators Bryan Bosch Posted June 11, 2015 Author Administrators My Ride Report Share Posted June 11, 2015 You'd have to pick your spots for sure. But, I'm sure that you're a better rider than that dude. I agree, he was sleepin' at wheel on that one. He's a lucky for sure.
