Administrators Eric Hall Posted March 2, 2017 Author Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted March 2, 2017 Simon Cudby tested a set of the 804/805's recently on an Africa Twin for UpshiftOnline but you'll have to go to their site to read the whole thing and find out just how many miles they got off a rear (hint: more than a TKC-80)

Administrators Eric Hall Posted May 4, 2017 Author Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted May 4, 2017 FYI, I put my tires on at 17,740 miles. Don't want to lose track of mileage!
Administrators Eric Hall Posted June 19, 2017 Author Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted June 19, 2017 My review is up. I really enjoyed running this fine 60/40 tire. It's a great value at about $200/set and has just about twice the mileage of a TKC-80. I honestly see no reason to buy anything else if you have a 60/40 tire preference. greedyg Posted August 12, 2017 My Ride Report Share Posted August 12, 2017 I just ordered an 805 for the next couple big trips. We'll see if I feel the same as everyone else. 🙄
ktm.mike.585
I just removed an 804 that lasted 8,600 miles on my 990. Was cupping a good bit and didn't do well off pavement any more. But it is good bang for the buck. I hated the 805 however. Horrible in gumbo mud with poor lateral traction. In the dry, it's a good tire. It lasted around 6,000 miles. Both do well on pavement. For me, I wanted better yet off pavement, so went to the Goldentyre GT 723.
PeteN95
I've been running an 805 rear on my Strom 1k for about 2,500 miles and have been very impressed. It took me up a couple hills that i did not think it would climb, although I am new to big ADV bikes also. I have not tried mud yet, but it is also very impressive on pavement, smooth and grippy. I have not quite touched the pegs down yet, but have touched my toes a few times and never had a slide yet. I am running a biased ply 705 front with it, so won't need to try the 804 for a while. The rear looks to last to at least 4k, maybe more?

I've been very pleased with the performance and longevity. I previously was running the tkc 80's front and rear. The shinko's in my opinion are every bit as good and are considerably cheaper. Win Win in my opinion
rider_marc Posted December 17, 2017 My Ride Report Share Posted December 17, 2017 There is set of these tires sitting in the garage for the AT, now. Still doing some road riding here out east on the OEM tires. Going to seal the rims and run them tubeless. First time doing such a mod, so I'll be monitoring closely.
