Administrators Eric Hall Posted November 7, 2016 Author Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted November 7, 2016 Another great Death Valley trip! Allen seemed to have a great time despite his hurt ankle. He couldn't get over how nice everyone was. That's something I have taken for granted but he's absolutely right; we ride with the best people! Friday we got to camp at about 10 am and went and rode to Ballarat and then the Charcoal Kilns Got to see Hing & Landon again after just two weeks ago in Baja Sorry to hear about Donald's transmission problem Such great sunsets at Panamint Springs
Administrators Eric Hall Posted November 7, 2016 Author Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted November 7, 2016 Saturday morning I awoke after a great sleep. We lucked out and didn't get any heavy winds like we usually do. We decided to ride out and do Titus Canyon. Allen is new but he had a bit of bad luck with what seemed like his rear shock leaking at the gas station in Beatty and then a spill on the way up to Titus Canyon.

Administrators Eric Hall Posted November 7, 2016 Author Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted November 7, 2016 What an amazing area of the world! Couldn't have had a better group of people to explore it with!! Great to have you join us! Is that Dan's taco'd rim? He was following us out of that north Panamint Valley road and I heard he hit it hard on something.
jasonknudsen
Sure is. He has a tube in there though, so didn't have any problems getting it back home luckily

Doug Printz Posted November 9, 2016 My Ride Report Share Posted November 9, 2016 Last week I traveled to Death Valley with my WR250R on the back of my car to meet up with my riding buddy, Bill Pryor where we participated in the Death Valley Ken Mooty Memorial Ride. While there, we met up with another riding buddy, Neil Reynolds from Southern California. We had a great time on Friday and Saturday, the three of us riding all day, and meeting up with the rest of the guys in the evenings to share too much food and some great stories. Bill and I even won some shirts and hats in the final evening's drawing. The smaller bikes, Bill's XR400 and my WR250R really worked out well ......... so well, that we are planning to come back in January or February to tackle some of Death Valley's tougher roads. All of this in preparation to ride the Utah Backcountry Discovery route in the spring of 2017. Thanks to Eric Hall for hosting the event and Arwi Odense and his wife for their hospitality.
jasonknudsen
My video take of Titus Canyon: Went back Thanksgiving weekend, there was so much traffic going through that it was basically pavement by the end of the weekend. Nice and smooth ;-)
