Some really cool photos shared with us by Spencer Hill.  Spencer shot these for ADVPulse's article on the 2017 Taste of Dakar and his own website is called The Gear Dude.  You can use these for your own personal use but not for commercial reproduction without authorization/permission from Spencer.

So Spencer Hill ACTUALLY RODE WITH US and appeared to still have a good time; unlike some other people

This is a GREAT article on TOD.  I like how it captures the essence of the Gold Point ghost town experience.  Great pics too ;)

It was such an amazing weekend! Love that the buzz on this years event is still going! Spencer was chill and rocked it on the 250! SMLADV? Dig his article. As for the "Dakar" Eric is right About the same bike. I have been riding her for a while. Rolled over 53k miles on this ride and this rotax motor as it is bullet proof. I enjoy wrenching this bike and keeping it alive!

Brad Barker from The Ride of My Life has his TOD video up.

I first met Brad at Taste of Dakar I think four years ago now.  His first TOD video has 294k views and sort of played on the whole danger aspect of the Dakar in general as well as at the level of even the event although we were lucky to have minimal injuries this year.

I like the western theme in this one, the banter back and forth with Jeremy LeBreton (AltRider ceo) and Kellon Walch (6 time Dakar racer and special guest).  But what I really like most is that Dennis Godwin was featured for his special obstacle course he put together for the event.  TOD has never done anything like this before and I'm glad Brad spent some time covering it in this video.  If you haven't had the chance to do one of Dennis' courses then it's something you need to make a point of next time.

@Rogers has had this on Facebook for a bit and just uploaded to YouTube.

I really like the time he put into thinking about his shots and editing this.  He's slowed some things down, sped other things up and synched with the music.  What's really fantastic is both the built-in electronic stabilization of the GoPro but also his use of a gimbal.  I think he had some trouble with the camera but they're fixing it on warranty I hear.

I really enjoyed the pots on IG and looking at the whole thread hear....FING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

I despise, hate, loathe sand (aka not enough skill and/or experience in it) so most of this would be exhausting sequence of events for me.  Two feet, crash, pick up, two feet, crash, pick up......

Thanks to everyone for sharing the photos and videos!!!!!!
