Administrators Eric Hall Posted June 17, 2017 Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted June 17, 2017 I found this company, Outdoor Vitals, in the Nevada ADV page on Facebook today and thought they have a compelling business model. It's basically customer-direct so a much lower price point. They don't appear to be OHV-hostile so I thought they would make a good alternative to some of the tent and bag makers who are contributing to shutting down riding areas. They do donate 1% to groups providing food, shelter and clothing though so that's something everyone can agree on. Here are a few goodies I'd be looking to buy (when my current gear wears out) 20 degree down bag. Very compact. $145! $169 2.5p tent. 6x6x18" packed. 5lbs 3 oz! 3-4 season tent.

Administrators Eric Hall Posted June 28, 2017 Author Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted June 28, 2017 They have a Kickstarter campaign going for their new hammock bag. I've never tried sleeping in a hammock for more than just a nap but this looks like a cool "adventure burrito" I typically hate Kickstarter or IndieGoGo campaigns because I feel all the "smart" money already passed on these "opportunities" but I know them now and feel they have a good model. MFG direct is razor thin margins so raising money makes more sense in this case.
