This is good, especially on those really hot days, 90+, it makes a big difference. I don't use the suspenders, my gut holds my pants up just fine... As far as durability, time will tell. The Arakis pants only weigh about half what the Klim Mojave does, take that as you will - Link to review Share on other sites

I like these better than my KLiM Dakar pants but they're probably more comparable to KLiM's Mojave pant (for breathability) and are also $50 less expensive! I wore them on my Death Valley trip and was impressed with how they kept me cool while offering me some good protection. Very breathable, comfortable. They come in a relaxed fit, which make them comfortable off the bike and around the campground. Lots of nice touches too like ribbed rubber waistband (kind of like the underside of your goggles strap that keeps it sticking to your helmet) to keep it from falling down, nice durable zippers, leather inseam paneling for heat/rubbing and a nifty ratchet waist closure buckle. For safety you have genuine D30 armor for knee pads (much better than my KLiM) and suspenders! Suspenders? Safety? Yes, you don't want your pants pulled down on a get off and have no protection. Durable zippers that still work in dirty conditions. Great value for the money! Link to review Share on other sites
