Daniel Howden
Hi, I have the above bike and when I accelerate hard it feels like the engine is holding back. It is difficult to exactly explain what it feels like but up to a certain point if I continue to twist the throttle my speed stays the same, this is riding up to 60MPH I am new to this bike and I have stripped and rebuilt the carbs, new air filter and new oil and oil filter. I just wonder if I'm missing something. Thanks, Daniel.

greedyg Posted November 28 My Ride Report Share Posted November 28 (edited) First place I'm going to look is the carbs, were they balanced after the rebuild? Did you install new slide diaphragms (KTM p/n 60031035000)? Tiny hairline cracks in these diaphragms are hard to see with the eye but can result in a big loss of power as it doesn't allow the needle to open fully. Also, take your boot off the rear brake lever... 🤪 Edited November 28 by greedyg
