Eric Hall 4,526 January 11, 2015 Report Share this review I have these as well and agree they are great. I'm 6'4" and I could actually use another inch in handlebar height but I'm not sure if it's going to cause a problem for my cables. Installation and adjustment are a breeze. Bryan Bosch 809 December 13, 2014 Report Share this review When it comes to rider ergonomics, motorcycle designers have to come up with a triple clamp and handlebar combo that works for the largest percentage of potential buyers, for the most common conditions that they'll be riding in. In other words, it's a compromise. Fortunately, my body dimensions are in the "average" ballpark (5' 10", 32" inseam), so most things work reasonably well for me out-of-the-box. My 2013 Triumph Tiger 800XC felt just fine box stock for sitting down riding, but when standing up for off-road work, the handlebars were too far forward and too low for my taste. Product Overview After considering my options, I settled in on a pair of USA made Rox Speed FX 2" rise pivoting handlebar risers for 1 1/8" handlebars with a clear anodized finish that compliments my stock triple clamp. Depending upon your application, you can also choose from black or gunmetal finishes, an anti-vibration model and the SE version that accepts both 7/8" and 1 1/8" handlebars. This is one of those products that is elegantly simple and highly effective. Not only does the product provide handlebar rise, since they also pivot fore and aft, they give you an incredible amount of adjustability to accommodate a wide range of rider ergonomic preferences. And, since your handlebars can also be rotated in the risers, you have another point of adjustability. Installation Rox Speed FX pivoting risers install with basic hand tools and mechanical abilities in 20-30 minutes. Instructions are included with the product, but they appear to be written with a fair bit of influence from a lawyer vs. a mechanic. Since you're dealing with the adjustment of a motorcycle's controls, there is a genuine safety concern if the installation is done incorrectly. So, the warnings about making sure that all your control cables function lock-to-lock are completely warranted. What is absent are the procedures for tightening down your stock handlebar clamp bolts (what the new riser installs into). When the Rox risers are installed, at least one of the allen head bolts per side is covered by the riser. Google is my friend and I was able to find a forum post from a fellow Tiger owner who had already been down this road. Once understood, installation is a breeze. Performance For me, with the Rox 2" risers installed, this is how a "cross country" branded Triumph should have come from the factory. I was able to find just the right handlebar positioning where on-road ergonomics were not compromised, but the standing up riding position is substantially improved. As a 35+ year, experienced trail rider turned adventure riding newbie, my tires have to see dirt. I'm more comfortable standing as the terrain roughens and now I can do it with increased comfort and control. Pros High quality fit & finish. Works with my stock control cables. Incredible amount of adjustability accommodates a wide range of rider preferences. Improved comfort & control for standing up riding. Cons Instructions need to be more complete. Some applications require installation of longer control cable(s). Bottom-line A motorcycle that fits YOU properly is more comfortable, easier to control and simply more fun to ride. If you're not happy with both the sitting and standing handlebar position on your skoot, Rox Speed FX pivoting handlebar risers will likely help you get your handlebars just where you want them to be.
