I've been riding for for about 28 years on many different genres of bikes - from dirt, to cruiser, to crotch rocket. I have to say, this bike is by far the best I have had the pleasure of owning and riding. It's versatility, quality, and capability coupled with it's reasonable price point make it a win win!

    > The Rox Pro-Offset block Risers raise your bars straight up 1 1/4" (vertical) or up 1" and back 1" when installed the other direction. Pro-Offset Elite riser comes with the addition of 7/8" bar reducers. This allows you to clamp 7/8" bars or remove them to clamp 1 1/8" "fatbars", making use of your stock bars now at a more comfortable height and upgrading to "fatbars" later. Reducers lock into risers to insure no slippage between components, as well they have serrated teeth in them for maximum gripping power on handlebar. > Rox Pro-Offset risers have an oblong hole so that they will fit virtually any fore and aft bolt center to center distance with 8mm bolt threads. > First determine if you have adequate cable length before installing handlebar risers. Check throttle routing and length. You may have to adjust position of controls, or purchase extended cables for proper operation.
  3. I figured now we have a bike, I'd put this thread here. What we have is a 2011 KTM 990 Adventure with just 3,000 miles! It's very clean and has never even been off road before. We hope to change that! My objective is to have a bike we can bring to all our regional events that can showcase some of the best the after market vendor world has to offer. It's purpose is to become a basis of discussion as to how these things make a difference in our riding. One of the reasons I picked a 990 is primarily because we couldn't get a new bike donated! It's also because there are a lot of people making stuff for the 990 and it has a lot of good real estate on which to put custom graphics wrap on. Besides, the 990 also happens to be a great bike in the dirt. It's also important to note here that none of this stuff is "free" that we're getting just because XLADV is so awesome. This bike came out of my pocket and most of the aftermarket parts are being provided at simply a discount. I'm happy to showcase these products and put sponsors' logos on the bike for their efforts. That's one thing I wanted XLADV to stand out for and that's a solid partnership with the v

Great ride. Had a 2012 road that I started with and upgraded when I found a deal on a used XC. Larger front wheel and better suspension were huge. That said, the the stock suspension sucks for someone bigger than average. With some upgrades it has been a great dual sport and tourer.

Rox unique riser design allows you to pivot the riser in the original clamps and pivot the bar orientation in the top clamps of the riser. This provides an incredible amount of bar position options for you to find the right height and pull-back for your riding position and stature. Keep in mind these risers work great if you are interested in changing to a bar that has a different sweep but happens to be lower; you can now gain back the height plus add fore and aft position selection. If you are experiencing discomfort after a few hours of riding give these Rox cruiser risers closer consideration. We trust this product will bring you a new and expected level of comfort. Their goal is to provide you not only with an attractive, eye catching accessory but as importantly a means of acquiring the proper ergonomic position so you can return your attention back to the pleasures and sights of the open road or trail. Features: 1-1/8" mount size and handlebar size Machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum Chrome risers come standard with chrome bolt head buttons Re-routing of stock lines and cables or longer lines and cables may be necessary on certain bikes Sold in pairs Made in the U.S.A http://www.roxspeedfx.com/

Always wanted one, now never want to be without one
  10. I happen to be a tall guy (6'4") so when I got this bike, one of the first things I did was to measure the vertical height of the bars. I found out I was going to need a whopping 6.5" of improvement over stock! So we reached out and got a favorable and friendly response from Rox Speed Fx who said they'd help us out there. These risers look pretty sweet, huh? Rox carries quite a few products beyond risers, including hand guards, so check them out!
