  1. Well, I simply couldn't pass on an additional 15% off dealer pricing on Yoshimura products yesterday and today. So, I picked up one of their RS4 slip ons. Not that the stock Tiger exhaust sounded bad. But, to me, it seem cartoonishly large for the bike and fairly heavy at 12.5lbs. And, it's a bike, so farkles are fun! Stock Sound - The Unmistakable "Whirl" of a Triumph Triple Yoshimura RS4 Slip-on Definitely more "bark"! Took it for a short ride and while louder, not loud or obnoxious. Now she sounds like she has a pair. Also, the Tiger breaths through a straw, so throttle response down low can be be a bit soft until revs build. Now, it might be just my butt dyno talking, but throttle response feels improved and the bike pulls a bit harder down low. It always pulled strong from the mid-range to red-line, but definitely stronger in this area. Pop on crackly/snap/pop on decel has increase slightly, but I can't say it bothers me. I can always pull in the clutch and slow down with just the brakes, avoiding engine braking. And, I think it looks a whole lot better, more proportionately sized for the bike: Total weight savings over stock: approx. 4.8lbs., soon to be negated by some farkle addition in the future.

  2. No... the cat is just after where the header turns under the right side of the engine. The can is just big, with a chambered steel core for max weight.

  3. Sounds a lot better Bryan- Not too noisy. I've looked at them and almost puller the trigger. Only think missing for me would be a heat shield for the wifey.

  5. Found on ADVPulse today: An Official Honda video was leaked today showcasing the new Africa Twin being ridden by test riders. “True Adventure Episode 6″ finally reveals the new Africa Twin in action off-road and includes an interview with the engineers that designed the bike. Key features are discussed during the interview that provide insight into what makes this new Africa Twin unique and how it compares to the original Africa Twin. From the video you can see two different model colors and hear the furious sounds of the new 1000cc inline twin. From what we can tell, the bike looks light and appears to have an excellent off-road suspension. All good signs that the new Africa Twin could be poised to revolutionize the Adventure Touring segment once the bike is released later this year. The new Africa Twin will be released in Europe at the end of 2015 and is expected to be in U.S. dealers early 2016. For more information on the bike, check out what Honda revealed when they officially announced the new Africa Twin last May.

  6. And some slight changes... We are using the 690 fender, so we changed that and moved the XLADV logo further up and to the right, made it bigger. Switched a few other logos too.
