  1. This ride didn't quite work out the way we planned, but we had a hell of a ride anyway. We traveled in 8 states – in order of travel: California, Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, and Utah. We visited Hell's Canyon, the St. Joe River Scenic Byway, the Big Hole Battlefield, the ghost town of Bannack, Montana, Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Tetons, The Golden Spike National Historic Site, and we rode the old transcontinental rail bed west of Promontory Point. All together we rode about 150 miles of dirt roads in spite of being blocked from the Magruder Corridor and the Lolo Motorway by forest fires in Idaho. CLICK HERE to read my ride report.

  2. Hey everyone, im new to the adventure riding group. Just got a Triumph Tiger 800 cx and im ready to do some on road/off road trips. I've been maping out routes already. Already had my first issue with the electrical system. My front turn signal light went out and it's almost impossible to get a replacement. I've been looking at getting the LED lights to replace it with. Lots of forums out there for this. Other than that, been riding just a little, because a soon as I got the bike the weather has been ridiculous. Crazy downpours nonstop. Oh well, I'll get out there one way or another. If anyone has any good trails to ride, or if they are going for a ride, i'm in virginia, so just give me a holler. I'll post some pics soon of my new, first ever, bike

  3. So far so good. Went on a good trip last weekend. Had my phone plugged into it for a couple hours and the bike still fired right up

  5. Apparently Triumph sucks at turn signals... still! My fix: /topic/260-triumph-tiger-800xc-led-turn-signal-upgrade/

  6. I agree with Camel ADV, it has to have a waterproof shell, and being an athletic build (thin) I can't wear a lot of suits with an American build, way to lose in the gut area and never enough adjustment to take up, waterproof pockets inside for phone, I pod etc.. and something besides blk, unless it has some orange mixed in of course.

  7. Can't control mother nature, sounds like you boys had a blast, kick back relax and then do it again.

  8. Just want to add that after multiple people in the health professions mis diagnosing me with athletes foot, that resulted in two forms of staph infections that kept me down and out for months, I have to pay added attention to my feet. I have two forms of dermatitis that wage war on my feet (slice between your toes with razor blades to get the idea). No pity please. Doesn't help that I spend as much time as possible with my feet in sweaty shoes and boots, or slinging a fly rod while my feet soak in the river/stream or ocean I'm standing in. Hence, the best sock I can afford.
