Premise: I'm italian, born and raised, and I've been a Ducatista for 10 years (Hypermotard 1100 and Ducati 1098s).

BUT: I never liked the Multistrada.

The first one was ugly as sin, good and comfortable, sure, but I couldn't even LOOK at it.The second gen was definitely a nice bike, but with those 17" rims, and all that horsepower, it was a 100% street bike. So much for being in the maxi-enduro category, eh?
Gen 3... I still don't like the looks of it, but since Ducati released the 1200 Enduro model, at least they moved in the right direction.

Now, we have the 950. And I think it's the first Multistrada I actually like (minus the looks). A smaller engine, a nice combo of 19"/17"... good move. Now...if only spoked wheels where on by default, like on my GSA800...

Very , very tantalizing, with a pleasing starting price ! Another fighter that's beating KTM to the punch in this segment. Quality components, good power, long service intervals, manageable seat height , chain/sprockets to tweak ratios , 48mm forks . Somewhat heavy but then again it seems to lean more to fire roads, service roads etc.
