  1. I live just a few blocks north of the 49th Parallel, which gives us access to some amazing scenery, mountains and lakes abound both here in B.C and Washington State. we are the gateway to Alaska with both pavement rides and countless numbers of off road miles, you can actually ride off the highway north almost to the northern BC border if you have the urge to go to Alaska via a little different path. ride safe ,ride often!

  2. So the other night after one of our late night feedings I was telling Opal that her Mom rides a Harley. This is the reaction I got. For reference she is typically pretty cute.

  4. I'd way rather be doing that than the touratech rally, I'd love to hit Baja sometime. Are you taking the new 990?

  5. I'll be there in this with the AC cranked on high with the beer in the fridge. Feel free to stop by if anyone wants.

  6. If you want a spot for a meet up anyone interested can drop by my trailer Thursday evening? Its the two tone black and charcoal cargo being pulled by a silver F350(pictured earlier in the thread). If I get enough interested people and we can get away with running the generator I could fire up the Belini machine?

  7. Good point on the bears - when in bear country I bring a long piece of line and hang anything smelly high in a tree far from camp. It's worked for me so far!

  8. I know Jim and his family. In fact, I just ran into his wife and little girl at the grocery store the other night. Jim's birthday is one day before my son's! I have never done his course and should. I have ran several of the trails, but never have received instruction. Thanks for the invites. I'd love to do it!

  9. Welcome Ralph. Glad to have you. Nice place of Cal you live. Been through a few times on my way to Tahoe. Epic ADV riding there! Vstroms are great bikes. I rode with a guy on one during the Hall of Fame Ride at the AIMExpo in Orlando last year. Funny part was, in the deep sand sections, he was an animal! Just rippin' when others on more "off-road' worthy bikes puckered. Sand has a way of doing that. Look forward to reading your ride reports and photos.

  10. Just moved from Charlotte, NC where I worked for SPEED for 15 years to Corona, CA where I now work for MAVTV. Started out with 12 years at Cycle News a long time ago. I will create a Garage and upload some KLR photos, just been busy. Thanks for reaching out, look forward to riding with you guys soon. Mark
