MikeT9876
Hi there, I just got back form the KTM rally in Crested Butte, CO. Definitely was a great time. A few shameless plugs for XLADV around the campfire helped me remember what I should do when I get home! I hope to have some more adventures with some of you in the future. For now, here's some nice scenery from CB this weekend.
Administrators Eric Hall Posted September 22, 2015 Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted September 22, 2015 Ha! Good to see you made it home safely and signed up! It was great meeting you at the rally. I picked up your beer bottle for you. Next time I'm kicking you in the nuts Enjoy your brutal polar winter and make sure you put a good pan under that bike of yours in the dining room! MikeT9876
Ohh. Yeah that deserves a swift kick in the nuts! I thought I had picked it up, won't happen again!
Administrators Bryan Bosch Posted September 22, 2015 Administrators My Ride Report Share Posted September 22, 2015 Never made it up to CB when I lived in Denver, but like a lot of places in the Rockies, pics look awesome, but never truly capture the true beauty of the place. Thanks for sharing. Makes me remember why Colorado is such a special place.
renaissancerider
Welcome Mike. Looking forward to meeting and riding with you. Your bike looks great. If it gets too cold this winter, think of a trip to SoCal. We're not all as "pushy" as Eric (ha!). Lots to ride here as well (as long as the gov stays out of it).
Administrators Eric Hall Posted September 22, 2015 Administrators My Rides (3) Report Share Posted September 22, 2015 You know, that campsite was one of the most beautiful places I've ever camped. We got lucky.
TN Traveler Posted September 23, 2015 My Ride Report Share Posted September 23, 2015 Sharp bike welcome aboard, just pick you up a set of spiked tires, heated gear and keep riding
MikeT9876
Ha! That would be a riot. I'm sure somebody has done it. From what I remember of dirt bikes in the winter in CO it wasn't so much the cold that was the issue, but the fact that frozen things are really hard when you hit them!
Sandman
Welcome aboard! Is ND flatter than FL? Spent a few days riding ND a while back and enjoyed every minute of it.
MikeT9876
Definitely not as flat as Florida. Really pretty fun ridding for an XL bike. Just stay away from the clay mud... I tend to find the bottom of those holes head first!
