I saw when we pulled up it was not only soft but an uphill incline and thought "someone's going to have an issue here for sure." Sorry I didn't stay to witness that. Always a good lesson on how to free yourself.
Hmmm. How did it perform on the bike as you rode? IYO dark enough for the desert? My regular glasses are transition and I love that use case. Might have to give this a try.
It was at Pismo Beach!
that place gets crazy busy and most always has an offshore wind/ breeze of 20-40 mph so it's not so glamorous. Me and a friend rode up through Carmel Valley and up the coast. Highway 1 is closed in about 6 places so you really can't ride all the way up. One of the best Moto camping trips yet....
Eric,
Hindsight's 20/20 -- add to street tires ABS that I left on as I didn't know much better and the fact that Kennedy Meadows was my first true offroad experience on the Strom and "tricky" is putting it lightly. :-D
Suspension work and new tires are in the future.
Unfortunately instead of just walking it through, I rode (too quickly) and it sucked water into the engine requiring a trailside air filter, oil filter and oil change. Lesson learned.
