I have a very good set of experiences so far with Antigravity Batteries. I have their XP-10 from their Micro-Start line of jump starting/charging batteries and then they also sponsored our #xladvproject990 bike with a lithium battery. I also have had a good experience with their Micro-Start Tire Inflator so I'm eager so get a chance to test these new products from their Adventure line. I will try to get a few sets of them for our contributors to start trying out and report back. So pretty cool lights, huh? Well, they also will act as Bluetooth music players, hands-free speaker phone and as powerbanks! Some time ago we were given a small Sena powerbank to use on charging Sena headsets as a gift. In no time it got used to charge phones and cameras. It actually was quite a damn nifty thing to carry on the bikes with us. But not 2 years and many charges later its time is up. The question is which are good brands for powerbanks and any suggestion on a small unit that is compact and maybe a 10000-160000mah charge? -
You may have already heard me or someone else talk about the Micro-Start line of jump start/charging batteries. How cool is it to have a device on-board that can literally jump start an 18 wheeler? On top of that, it charges my phone, GoPro, Sena SMH10, Sena Prism, etc... for about five days before I have to find a wall plug in to recharge it. They also happen to make lithium ion batteries for our bikes that are just as powerful but the real kicker here is the weight savings. This particular battery will save me a whopping 6lbs! I've already lost 30 lbs myself and this battery, as part of Rottweiler Performance's "diet parts" package," will save an additional 28.5 lbs! I'd better start getting good at covering that rear brake lever because I have a feeling my front wheel is going to get a lot lighter! My 600lb GSA didn't make as much sense to go with a lithium ion battery but I think this 990 does given the total weight we're saving is so significant. I figured now we have a bike, I'd put this thread here. What we have is a 2011 KTM 990 Adventure with just 3,000 miles! It's very clean and has never even been off road before. We hope to change that! My objective is to have a bike we can bring to all our regional events that can showcase some of the best the after market vendor world has to offer. It's purpose is to become a basis of discussion as to how these things make a difference in our riding. One of the reasons I picked a 990 is primarily because we couldn't get a new bike donated! It's also because there are a lot of people making stuff for the 990 and it has a lot of good real estate on which to put custom graphics wrap on. Besides, the 990 also happens to be a great bike in the dirt. It's also important to note here that none of this stuff is "free" that we're getting just because XLADV is so awesome. This bike came out of my pocket and most of the aftermarket parts are being provided at simply a discount. I'm happy to showcase these products and put sponsors' logos on the bike for their efforts.
